MADRID - Urban street style meets graphics and color at the LE show during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid as the neon came out in jackets, dresses with cutouts, and textures that represented 3D elements, as if they were popping off the model's bodies like a cartoon come to life. Elements of fringe played well against the otherwise mostly black collection.

MADRID - Juana Martin calls the Fifties the golden era and what better way to pay tribute to one of the most fashionable decades than through a runway show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid. Martin showcased her Fall 2012 as an homage to the decade, which gave way to neon palettes, romantic constructions, and luxury. There was a sense of both structure and elegance in this collection through the use of unique fabrics like wool, mohair, beading embroidery, pearls, and even Swarovski crystals.

MADRID - If you didn't notice the gold headwear at the David Del Rio show during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid, then you must have noticed the bright colors and furs on the runway. For Fall 2012, the designer presented a flapper-inspired collection with bows, dresses below the knee, and fox fur coats as well as well embroidery and floral. The floral appliques were also unique and stylish even when they were presented on a men's velvet suit! Pearls and tiered fringe dresses made for a classy ride back to the 20s era.

MADRID - Ailanto presented their Fall/Winter 2012-2013 collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid. The line was inspired by Chinoiserie, or the idea of using Chinese-influenced elements in European style. This time though, the effect was mixed with contemporary motifs and Chinese rock music to add oomph to the show. Ailanto used ideas such as asymmetry, decoration, kimonos, traditional Oriental prints, and more details. Dresses and skirts were made of satin but also silk and tweed, moving between fluidity and structure using these Chinese elements and details. Knee length dresses which were modest but still trendsetting and jumpsuits with floral prints, oversize sleeves, and embellished collars were among some of the most stunning pieces in the collection.

TOKYO - Hiroyuki Horihata and Makiko Sekiguchi, the designers that make up Matohu, used an array of digital prints, unique textures, and a mix of leather and silk to form their Fall 2012 collection at Mercedes Benz Tokyo Fashion Week. Of course, the Oriental motif and kimono print theme pervaded as it did through the entire week, due to the strong Japanese influences found in every designer's collection, including this one.

Highlights the Maria Barros show during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2012-2013. The show featured a collection of pieces with delicate and feminine silhouettes perfectly hitting at the right places on a woman's figure. The designer used materials such as silk and colors like white, black, gray, green and gold. The collection showcased a mix of contemporary and classic charm for a confident woman who is also mysterious.

TOKYO - Somarta presented its Fall/Winter 2012-2013 collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Tokyo. The collection showcased by designer Tamae Hirokawa was described as delicate, romantic, and ladylike with feminine colors of red, pink, off-white, blush, and beige. Still, the jacquard feminine pieces were paired with punkier picks like moto jackets for a tough meets sweet motif. There were also unique additions and decorative elements like ruffles and puffy jackets that were almost like capes. Metallics were accented throughout the dresses adding life to a frilly frock.
