Catherine Malandrino Fall/Winter 2012/13 Pres. Inspired by "La Feline" at NYFW

NEW YORK - The Catherine Malandrino presentation for New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2012-2013 takes place at the Eyebeam Art & Technology Center and the models stand on high platforms like statues in a museum. Catherine Malandrino wanted to transform her models into catwomen based on a movie with Natasha Kinski named "Cat People" which Malandrino calls "La Feline." The 41 models wear patent leather, tulle, colored fur, mesh, bold colors like royal blue, red, and emerald green. Pants and tops are textured and embellished in different ways and models wear fitted tops like corsets with bold dangling earrings.
